Accelerator for America (AFA) is a nationally recognized center of excellence in economic & community development and transit & infrastructure. AFA works to expand economic mobility in underserved communities through a large network of mayoral and local government relationships alongside business, labor, and philanthropic partners. AFA provides technical assistance/capacity building and manages cohorts/communities of practice to share, scale, and replicate best practices with the nation’s most innovative local leaders. 

The AFA team includes incredibly committed individuals with experience working at the local level who enjoy connecting and collaborating with partners at the city/county, state, and federal levels alongside our funders and like-minded regional and national institutions and thought leaders. 

AFA invites you to share your interest in working with us! The strongest candidates for positions at AFA will have direct, multi-year experience in leadership roles in local government and/or related entities, agencies or community-based organizations working in economic & community development and transit & infrastructure. If you are a purpose-driven leader with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial style, and ability to independently manage a portfolio of projects while contributing positively to the culture of a small-but-mighty team that is making national change from the ground up, we may be looking for you.
